FASHION AND LONDON ON 2 WHEELS

When I started cycling to work over 3 years ago, I was searching the internet for some velo-fashion inspiration that is work and girl-friendly and just couldn’t believe how little choice there was. It was either full on lycra/neon cycling gear or normal clothing. Almost 3 years later on, I am still struggling to find any decent cycling waterproof macs, helmets, bags and even gloves aimed at female cyclists. Yes, there are now more cycling shops and blogs available in the UK all thanks to cyclechic, total women’s cycling and velocitygirl and women are encouraged to cycle more, but the choice of clothing and inspiration is still very limited. So this is how velondonista was born. My aim is to provide you with regular fashion updates and inspiration for easy cycling in a city, whether it is London or any other place.

I am also keen to share parts of London I know well and provide regular updates to what’s happening in this wonderful city especially if it is related to bikes and fashion. After all I do live in East London, probably the most cycleable and arguably trendiest part of the UK.

So… see you back soon?
